SOHO Beachdwelling Tenant Fit-Up
Homewood, AL
MBC was selected as the general contractor by the tenant to
perform fit-up for the Beachdwelling store located in the
SOHO development of downtown Homewood. Renovations included
concrete resurfacing and staining, specialty lighting, and
finish upgrades. MBC worked closely with owner Mary Clark
and adjacent tenant Fusion Spa to perform construction in
the space with the operating spa located adjacent to the
space. Architect of record for this project was Cohen
Carnaggio Reynolds.

Wells Fargo Middle Market Real Estate
Tenant Fit-Up
Homewood, AL
Wells Fargo was attracted to the Central
Station Office Building built by MBC and decided to move
their offices into the building, selecting MBC as the
general contractor. Construction included first-class
finishes and a secure server room with a dedicated HVAC
system delivered within a tight timeframe so the owner could
occupy the space at the beginning of the lease term. The
result? Wells Fargo as a satisfied owner and important
valued client of MBC.

White Flowers Fit-Up
Homewood, AL
Having operated a very unique and
successful operation in Mountain Brook, White Flowers owners Diana
and Eric Hansen decided to move their store to Homewood and selected
MBC as the general contractor to transform the former candle store
to a new space that meet their unique needs. The result was a
beautiful store that both the owners and MBC are very proud of.

Renovations
Homewood, AL
The owner of this building in downtown
Homewood was attracted to MBCs professionalism and attention to
detail and had MBC serve as a construction management consultant
while deciding how to renovate and prepare his building (which
contained the former Anchorage Restaurant). The result was a
design-build contract solution that was extremely economical and
preserved the historical qualities of the building that was built by
his grandfather in the 1930s.

OTI Properties Tenant
Renovations
Pelham, AL
OTI Properties selected MBC to construct
new walls and provide finish upgrades to meet their needs in an
existing office facility.

Scottrade Branch Office
Tenant Fit-Up
Hoover, AL
Scottrade awarded MBC the general
contract to fit up their branch office in the Patton Creek Shopping
Center. Working with architect Arcturis (St. Louis, MO), MBC was
able to deliver this project within budget and ahead of schedule.

Aquabama Landlord and Tenant
Fitout at Colonial Promenade Tannehill
Alabaster, AL
Colonial Properties Trust needed a shell
space fit out quickly for their tenant, Aquabama Pool Supply, and
hired MBC to perform the upgrades. MBC was able to complete the
project on time and to the satisfaction of the client, and also
performed the tenant renovations for Aquabama. Retail construction
is an area MBC is able to excel in due to the experience and
understanding associated with the unique leasing and construction
requirements of retail construction.

Homewood Plaza Tenant
Renovations
Homewood, AL
JH Berry and Gilbert selected MBC to
perform renovations to a suite in the Homewood Plaza office
building. The project was delivered within an expedited schedule to
the satisfaction of the client so that the tenant could occupy the
space in accordance with their lease terms.

The Rare Martini Flooring
Renovations
Birmingham, AL
The owner of the Avon building in the
Lakeview district of Birmingham’s Southside needed a company that
could perform remedial flooring replacement for its tenant, The Rare
Martini. MBC was called in to perform the work within a three day
schedule to minimize down time and loss of revenue for the popular
gathering place during its busy season of the year. MBC worked with
the project team to recommend and select finishes that could be
procured quickly, and worked around the clock to complete the
project to the satisfaction of the client.

Bodine, Inc. Renovations
Birmingham, AL
Bodine, Inc. hired MBC to perform
interior renovations and upgrades to their existing building on
Birmingham’s Southside. The renovations were designed and
constructed so that Bodine could relocate and reorganize their staff
within the building.

Batteries Plus Inc
Tenant Fit-Up
Hoover, Greystone, Alabaster, AL
Batteries Plus contacted Murray Building
Company to complete one simple tenant fit-out project in
Alabaster and the success of that project led a more
comprehensive fit-out project at The Grove Shopping Center
and Greystone Commercial Center both in Hoover, AL. The
project consisted taking a cold dark shell to completing all
finish work. The Owner was able to occupy the space within 4
weeks of giving MBC a notice to proceed for construction.
The result? Batteries Plus was a satisfied owner and
important valued client of MBC.

Full Circle LLC
Historical Retail Renovation
Birmingham, AL
Barrett Architecture Studio contacted
Murray Building Company to help renovate the original
historic V. Richards Supermarket in the Forest Park
neighborhood. The owner worked closely with MBC and Barrett
Studio to preserve the building by completely restoring the
storefront, uncovering and polishing the concrete floors,
restoring the plaster walls, uncovering the original brick
walls and using reclaimed lumber materials where possible.
The focus for Full Circle LLC is "handmade, antique, vintage
goods for the home, self, critters and tots. The products we
carry come from companies that believe uniqueness is good
and that quality items with purpose and a story trump mass
quantities and unsustainable processes." This project was
completed with all local trades and materials in order to
fulfill the owner's mission.

Homewood Cycle / Homewood Toy and Hobby
Storefront Restoration
Homewood, AL
The Owner of Homewood Cycle contacted
Murray Building Company to completely restore the facade of their
existing building in Homewood. This project required plaster and
brick restoration along with storefront window renovations. The
store was able to maintain usual business hours and the project was
completed to the client's expectations.

Tenant Fit-Out
Mountain Brook, AL
Bayer Properties, Owner of Cahaba
Village contacted Murray Building Company to complete the
tenant fit-out for Moravia, retailer of fine hand cut
crystal and glass wares. The space was quickly converted for
Moravia and both Landlord and tenant were pleased with the
process.
