Daxco Office Space Fitup

Baseline Consultants Office Building

The Baseline Consultants’ Office Building project is a significant project for Twin Commercial, LLC for many
reasons, as good as any being the fact that it was the emerging contractor’s first building completed in the Murray Building Company won the ABC 2007 Excellence Award for their work on Baseline Consultants Office Buildinggreater Birmingham area, and only its second project completed in the history of the new company. The pride in this project stems from every aspect of its success, from the initial discussions with the owner regarding how Twin Commercial could add unique value to the project, to the methodical detail in completing the punchlist, allowing the owner to occupy the building well in advance of the scheduled completion time. > Learn more

Daxco Office Space Fitup
Birmingham, AL
The Daxko Office Fitout is an project constructed for Daxko, a Birmingham technology company, located in the five (5) story, approximately 125,000 sf University Park Plaza building in Homewood, AL. The project for this office tenant consists of 30,795 square feet of modern office fitout over two (2) floors with many unique construction characteristics that complement the innovative business model of the tenant, including open collaborative work areas, themed conference rooms constructed of full height glass walls, exposed ductwork and ceiling structure, and a kitchen/dining area. The focal point of the project was a new monumental steel staircase retrofitted into the building to span two floors and serve as the connector between the private workspace on the 4th floor and the 5th floor public entrance to the Daxko office. Central Avenue Office Building Cahaba Heights Retail Center

Central Station Office Building

Murray Building Company was chosen as the general contractor to transform the former EB Construction office building located on Central Avenue in Homewood, AL into a new multi-tenant office building. Construction included selective demolition of the existing structure, renovation and addition of new shell office space, and complete site renovation to provide new hardscape, landscape, and parking areas. MBC worked closely with architects Poole and Company, Inc. (conceptual design) and Dwelling, Inc. (construction administration) to construct a first class 10,000 square foot office facility now occupied by tenants Twin Construction, Wells Fargo Middle Market Real Estate, Classic Cabinets, and Bent Media Company. MBC also served as the general contractor for the tenant fit-up for Wells Fargo and Bent Media Company. Civil design services on the project were provided by Callison Engineering, and included the unique evaluation of a storm drainage flume located underneath the existing building in the overall storm drainage design for the site. MBC was also selected as the general contractor for the tenant fit-up for Wells Fargo and Bent Media Company. Completed in September 2008, the Central Station building is one of the first projects in the anticipated high growth area of Central Avenue district.

Cahaba Heights Retail Center
Vestavia Hills, AL
MBC was selected as the general contractor to perform façade/roof renovations and interior renovations to an existing retail center in the Cahaba Heights area of Vestavia Hills. Working with owner Shannon-Waltchack Investment Real Estate and architect bDot Architecture, MBC assembled the right team of subcontractors to creatively complete this project within the budget of the owner, upgrading the building to fit in with high growth in surrounding areas.

   
   
BTS Technologies Various Renovations

BTS Technologies Various Renovations

MBC has maintained an outstanding relationship with BTS Technologies and considers the business to be a valued repeat client. MBC has been selected to perform several projects in the existing building, including flooring replacement and finish upgrades.

Interior Renovation and Finish Upgrade for the UAB 8th Floor Administration Building
Birmingham, AL

MBC was awarded the general contract to selectively demolish and renovate 10,000 square feet of office space on the 8th floor of the existing administration building for the UAB legal department and UAB System Chancellors office. Working closely with architect, UAB Design Build Services, and the UAB Legal Department and Chancellor’s Office, MBC phased the project so that the occupants could maintain operations during construction. The result of the project was an extremely satisfied owner and the beginning of an outstanding relationship with the architect, Kahn South, Inc.

   
   
Little Soles Addition Culotta, Scroggins, Hendricks & Gillespie Interior Renovations

Owner Metropolitan Properties needed a firm to oversee construction of the addition to an existing building to create room for an expanding tenant. Desiring to be the contract holder with the trades, the owner chose MBC as the Construction Manager. Using this delivery method, the owner was able to rely on the experience and expertise of MBC as a consultant to deliver a high quality investment to his building, while maintaining some control over the indirect costs of the project.

Culotta, Scroggins, Hendricks, & Gillespie Interior Renovations
Vestavia Hills, AL

CSH&G, working with Kahn South, Inc. as the architect, relied on Kahn South’s past successful history with MBC and selected MBC as general contractor for their 6,000 square feet of office renovations. CSH&G had to have the project completed in a tight timeframe while they continued to occupy the building during the busiest season of the year for accounting firms. With strategic phasing and coordination, MBC delivered the project within budget and ahead of the schedule required by the owner.
