Many factors were considered when choosing a new facility, including ease of access, parking, and the option of future expansion.Back to Projects
In 2012, the 1900 SoHo Building underwent a complete facelift, including a full renovation of the common areas, lobby, and corridors. Exterior renovations included a new roof, fresh paint, a resurfaced parking lot, and new landscaping. The building owner employed the expertise of Kyle Kirkwood of Williams Blackstock Architects in designing the imposed renovations. The architect was mindful of not disturbing the intended design of the original building. Though it was built in the 1960’s, he was able to make mid century architecture more “modern”, without changing its fundamental character. The interior space was shelled for future fit-up, which allowed Murray to design and allocate the layout to fit their particular needs. The facility provides a fresh and modern look, with designated space for estimating, project management, and large conference rooms in which to accommodate client meetings, and internal training. The building is conveniently located on 28th Avenue, adjacent to the Associated Builders and Contractors of Alabama and across from the Homewood Municipal Complex.
